  • Lou Duva was one of the most recognized faces in boxing, which is fascinating considering he wasn't particularly any good when he boxed.

    Duva’s initial success was as a trainer, and he parlayed that into managing and promoting. Over his career, Duva had 19 world champions over five decades. Among Duva’s trainees were Pernell Whitaker, Michael Moorer, Arturo Gatti, Lennox Lewis, Hector Camacho, Evander Holyfield, and Vinny Pazienza.
