  • As of this writing, Merrill Reese is currently the most tenured NFL broadcaster in the business, having called games for the Philadelphia Eagles since 1977.

Born and raised in Philly, Reese worked his way up through local sports shows before signing on as the color man alongside Charles Swift, but when Swift passed away abruptly, Reese took over the play-by-play responsibilities.

Known for his enthusiastic play calling and ability to paint a picture on the gridiron, Reese takes preparation to the next level, and the meticulous way that he articulates each play’s situation is second to none.

Still active, Reese has already been recognized by the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

We are proud to nominate Merrill Reese for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
