  • After playing at Baylor, Jody Conradt cut her coaching teeth by staying in Texas, first with Sam Houston State (1969-73) and Texas-Arlington (1973-78). A bigger opportunity was awaiting her, as the University of Texas hired her as the women's head basketball coach in 1978, which would be a job she kept until 2007.

Conradt guided the Longhorns to a National Championship in 1986 and two other Final Fours. In her 25 years at Texas, Conradt only had three losing records, and she would also win ten league tournament championships.

It is worth mentioning that Conradt also was the women's volleyball coach at Texas-Arlington for two years and Texas for one.

We are proud to nominate Jody Conradt for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
