  • Football has long been a man’s world, but few women have shattered that ceiling more than Andrea Kremer.

In 1984, Kremer became the first female correspondent for NFL Films, and five years later, she became ESPN’s first female correspondent, often appearing on Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown. Following her run with ESPN, Kremer went to work for NBC, where, from 2006 to 2012, she continued to report on the NFL but also served as an Olympic Studio host, covering swimming and diving, most notably Michael Phelps’ pursuit of eight gold medals in Beijing.

Her best work was with HBO on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, where her reporting and interviewing skills earned her multiple Emmys and elevated her to one of the best sports reporters in the country.

We are proud to nominate Andrea Kremer for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
