  • Dawn Staley was the finest basketball player to compete for the University of Virginia where she won back-to-back Naismith College Player of the Year Awards and later made history as the first to win the Naismith Player of the Year and Naismith Coach of the Year.

    Staley later joined the WNBA as a six-time All-Star. Internationally, she helped lead the United States to three Olympic Gold Medals.
