  • For 40 years, Woody Durham was the voice of the UNC Football and Men’s Basketball Teams, providing every legendary Tar Heel moment over that span with his legendary catch phrases “Go where you go and do what you do”, “Good gosh gurdy,” and “How ‘bout them Heels,” which he got famously use when Michael Jordan sank the National Championship Game winning shot in 1982.

Bluntly, very few broadcasters are as connected to a Division I school as Durham is!

He had the honor of calling 23 Bowl Games, 13 Final Fours, and six NCAA Men’s Championship Games.

We are proud to nominate Woody Durham for the United States Athletic Hall of Fame.
